Narrative Essay Activity

Narrative Essay Activity

A narrative essay is an essay organized with a thesis, introduction, body, conclusion, and transition words. The essay may use examples, anecdotes, or allusions etc. It is meant to tell a story and has a point. The author is telling a true story from her/his life and using that story to make a point (thesis) about some aspect of life.

Write a narrative essay on a DEFINING MOMENT in your life. It should be 500-1250 words long, no more, no less. Be sure to develop the introduction and conclusion and use paragraph form to develop the body.

If you are having difficulty with this topic, then see the teacher. Here are some other possibilities:

  • the worst/best vacation ever
  • The most important lesson I learned outside of school
  • My summer jobs
